Energy Community Secretariat’s response to public consultation on a new European Neighbourhood Policy , 30 Jun 2015

Given the overlap in membership, goals, policy
frameworks and above all immense potential to increase synergies, the
Secretariat submitted its response to the European Commission’s public
consultation on reform of the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) today.

In order to create a strong and successful framework, the Secretariat
believes that the revised ENP should be tailored to the different
interests and ambitions of the EU’s neighbouring countries and be
underpinned by a multilateral structure with common institutions and
legally binding rules. The Energy Community with its balanced
institutions could serve as a blueprint for energy sector cooperation
under the ENP.
